Equity Bank Hawks cruised to a 71-25 win over the University of Nairobi Dynamites in a Kenya National Basketball League match at the Nyayo Stadium gymnasium on Sunday.

Valery Kemunto and Maryann Nyagaki scored 16 and 14 points respectively for the bankers, who are now second on the table.

“I gave everybody a chance and used the match to run our offence and defence to make sure they understand the plays.”

Winless Kenyatta University went down 55-38 to Storms, who had 23 points from Babra Diana as Messy Atieno managed 20 for KU.

“Much improved side only we need to work on endurance. We were a bit rushy on the offence but the girls are now playing as a team,” said KU coach Caleb Osewe.

At the Uasin Gishu Primary School courts in Eldoret, visitors Strathmore University teams had a fruitful outing, winning all their matches.

Strathmore Swords hit Eldonets 50-45 and also beat TH3 Swish in Nakuru by a similar margin in the women’s division. Strathmore Blades cut Platinum Eldonets 70-34.

Zetech University hit Neosasa 50-38 as Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology Straycats dimmed Blazers 71-61.
